The iPod Hi-Fi is Apple's entry to the iPod accessory market. Previously, iPod speakers have been the domain of regular speaker manufacturers such as Bose, Klipsch, Altec Lansnig and Logitech. Apple introduced the iPod Hi-Fi on the 1st of March (Australian Time) and Australia saw stock on the 2nd of March, not a bad turn around on stock for Apple (anyone remember the Mac Mini and iMac G5 delays?). Steve Jobs said - "I'm an audiophile, and I'm getting rid of my stereo." - a big claim indeed and we all know how picky Steve is. So, is it any good? That's what we'll find out by the end of this review by an audio layman.
