A long time ago in a galaxy far away, someone dreamed of a game that enveloped the entertainment of real-time strategy games with the tactical pleasure found in a turn-based strategy game. They dreamed that this game could offer control over a galaxy, where battles would take place on land, sea and air. Star Wars: Empire at War was meant to be that game; it was marketed as revolutionary, groundbreaking and the next "Game of the Year." Alas, it was not, but it did succeed in taking a legendary background and turning it into a well-rounded, interesting real-time strategy title.
