Here's what I think makes a true next-generation game: game play that simply wouldn't have been possible on the previous generation of consoles. It's that simple. If you can pare down the graphics and release the game on a weaker system, then it isn't truly next-generation. Perfect Dark: Zero is a very pretty first-person shooter, but that's it. Project Gotham Racing 3 is a very good racing game, but it's a game you could have done without the gee-whiz special effects on any system. Kameo is...well, Kameo is disappointing.
