Dell takes a page from the case-modder crowd with the M170. Sporting a two-tone black and faux brushed aluminum exterior, the M170 incorporates some soothing blue case lights, all the better to help you keep track of your Mountain Dew during an all-night, lights-out Quake bender. More on those case lights below… The layout for the M170 is as follows: seven audio control buttons on the front edge; 2 USB 2.0 connections on the left side; power receptacle, VGA out, DVI out, 4 USB 2.0 connections, phone, RJ-45, and S-Video on the rear; and SD card slot, mic in, headphone out, 1394, and a single PCMCIA slot on the right. The DVD drive opens to the left.
