Sometimes you walk into a game with a healthy dose of skepticism, and Over G Fighters is definitely one of those games where that skepticism is warranted. First off, it was released in the gaming doldrums of summer, which isn't exactly where you expect to bump into a lot of high-quality games. Making a console flying game is also a challenge, because no one is ever willing to make one with a steep learning curve—but if it's too simple people lose interest too quickly.
