XFX 7900 GS. This new $199 card is placed right between the 7600GT and the 7900GT and XFX features some nifty board visual design cues to make this card look pretty hot. We take a look at the performance against its older brother, the 7900GT, BFG's 7600GT OC, and ATI's X1800GTO, the closest priced ATI card in with its street price in the $190-$200 range.

"The most notable aspect of this XFX in particular is the black PCB and black cooler. XFX have gone to good lengths to differentiate this board from the competition and the overall impression this board leaves is much larger than that of the usual green PCB variety. The black coating that XFX have used on this board is matte rather than the usual glossy surface we're accustomed to (see the third picture below for an example) and makes the card quite striking overall."
