Back in 2004, the video gaming world was plagued with a plethora of car games like Juiced, Street Racing Syndicate and RPM Tuning, all of which were inspired by the success of MTV & Xzibit’s “Pimp My Ride show” and Electronic Art’s “Need for Speed Underground” series. No matter where you looked, there wasn’t a single game that didn’t allow you some form of customization, whether it was adding an enormous spoiler, lowering the suspension or boosting your car’s engine with a nitrous kit. However, all hope wasn’t lost since one developer actually dared to try and offer something completely different with the release of FlatOut..
