HP Pavilion Slimline Media Center s7500y PC Review

Posted on Wednesday, September 13 2006 @ 00:24:18 CEST by LSDsmurf

I like the form factor and capabilities of the HP Slimline PC series a lot, and the latest model—the Slimline s7500y ($1,000 direct)—offers a great mix of compact size and desktop-level components. With a desktop hard drive and dual-layer DVD burner, the s7500y can store more data than a mini PC built around notebook components. The addition of a TV tuner adds to its appeal, though it's a pity that the price bump over the last generation is so steep. The s7500y will be of interest to people adding a Media Center PC to their bedroom, but there are other more compact, more attractive, and less expensive choices on the market.
