Posted on Monday, September 18 2006 @ 14:19:24 CEST by LSDsmurf

Symbian - the world leader in mobile operating systems (shipping around 35 million Symbian based mobile devices in 2005 alone), has recently announced a new version of their popular mobile operating system, the v9 family. Named Symbian OS v9.3, it builds on the success of its predecessors as an open, robust, scalable, and energy efficient operating system for mobile devices, such as Smartphones. Symbian has announced a lot of minor incremental enhancements to the core operating system that will reduce the time it takes to market the device, improve device performance and add support for new technologies, such as Wi-Fi wireless networking, Push-To-Talk e-mail support, USB 2.0 connectivity and much more. In this article, we will delve into the various features available in Symbian OS v9.3.
