Some of the key selling points of this fan are support of AMD Athlon XP chips up to 3400+, and it's near-silent operation. Descriptions from the website include, "Fan: High performing "Hydro Wave Bearing" fan, increase airflow by intake air from multi-directional; Heatsink: All copper base, more surface area provides better heat transfer; Unique fan frame design significantly reduce the noise level." This is a high-performance, middle price-range heat sink assembly, that could work well for many users.
