Intel Cloverton Xeon Processor Review

The rise of multi-core processing and multi-threaded software has allowed everyday desktop computers the same level of computing horsepower once only seen on high-end workstations. Just as dual-core processors are becoming the norm for new system builds, quad-core processors are now making their way to market in volume, offering even more performance and scalability for those who like to run dozens of applications simultaneously. Intel is now pushing quad-core processing for performance desktops and game rigs, even though the only real applications which can make good use of this processor are designed for the workstation and server markets.
