Two weeks ago, on the one year anniversary of the Xbox 360, Microsoft announced the Video Marketplace. While this announcement came as a surprise to the average consumer, most Xbox 360 owners were tipped off after the fall Xbox 360 dashboard update. The fall dashboard update added a slick new look, a multitude of new features, fixes and hardware support but what really has everyone talking is the new Video Marketplace tab. At the time, little was known about the specific content that would be added to the new market place tab other than the fact that it would involve “video”.
