2006 may have been a bit of a hit and miss year for ATI, but the launch of the Radeon X1950 PRO was most certainly one of its hits. Sure, it was rather late to the party, but RV570's drool-worthy price to performance ratio couldn't be ignored or bettered, and boards based around this SKU have been selling like hotcakes ever since they hit retail. It doesn't seem like nearly three months since we first reviewed ASUS' EAX1950PRO graphics board, but incredibly it was not far off exactly that long ago. For some time now, we've actually had two of these boards in our possession here at Elite Bastards, with the second part being ASUS' CrossFire Edition variant, complete with the two internal bridge connectors required by new ATI boards for a multi-GPU configuration.
