Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 (NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI) Review

It comes as little surprise that the adoption rate of NVIDIA's nForce 600i series of chipsets isn't as high as we'd have thought. It could very well be because of Intel's stronghold on the LGA775 market with their excellent P965 chipsets, the less than stellar performance of the previous nForce 500 Intel Edition family from NVIDIA or quite possibly because it is the most expensive core logic chipset to implement today. After nearly four months into the launch of the nForce 680i SLI, ASUS is still the only tier-1 manufacturer that has gone on a rampage with multiple product SKUs. Most other vendors have been laying low, slowly tweaking their boards for a 2007 release, but we've managed to secure Gigabyte's upcoming flagship nForce 680i SLI motherboard - the GA-N680SLI-DQ6 - for review right now.
