When it comes to passively cooled graphics boards from ATI, Sapphire have been king of the hill for several generations now, thanks to their 'Ultimate Edition' series of GPUs. These first came to market with ATI's Radeon 9x00 series of parts, courtesy of Radeon 9800 and 9600 boards, and I can only imagine that they proved popular with users looking for a silently cooled graphics card as Sapphire have continued to provide boards under the 'Ultimate Edition' moniker as ATI's graphics cores have progressed.
