ZoneAlarm has historically delivered one of the strongest software-based security packages for Windows users. The current release focuses on strengthening the fundamental layered approach and improving ease of use, helping to produce the most secure solution yet. And as today’s cybercriminals are motivated by financial gain and are often highly organised, ZoneAlarm’s layered approach to PC security is comprehensive and for the most part relatively seamless. The biggest issues for us were the suite’s appetite for system resources (one machine was slowed to a crawl) and requirement for frequent reboots.
