We have taken a couple of UPS units from Ultra Products and fired them up in a review. We've got both the 700VA and 850VA units on the bench, and while these may not be the longest run-time units around, they are priced very attractively and will work for most people out there. Take a look and see just how long they run and if the software is any good. Both units have their advantages, but I'd prefer the 850VA personally.

I was very happy with how simple it was to install the software, and have it work with no modifications, I simply plugged the UPS in, installed the software, and unplugged the power and without missing a beat the software kicked it and shut my computer down automatically with no problems. I'm always a fan of software that once installed just works. . .
