ASUS has just recently announced two new special edition motherboards based on the Intel P35 chipset, called the Blitz Formula and Blitz Extreme. With an estimated combined value of nearly $600 US, these new Blitz motherboards are anything but cheap. Rather they are designed to be ultimate performance motherboards for Core 2 Duo processors, offering the very best features and overclocking abilities.

As with any and all high-end ASUS motherboards the Blitz Formula and Extreme come with a huge amount of extras in the package. Apart from the typical drivers CD, I/O shield, manual and quick start guide, you also get six SATA cables, a SATA power cable with two connectors, three temperature probes, a packet of water-cooling connectors and adapters, a fan, extra Firewire and USB ports, IDE and Floppy cables, LCD Poster, and a Q-Connector kit. This really helps add to the value of these Blitz motherboards and will help users justify the cost.
