GlacialTech Igloo 5610 Series Review

Generally when I think after market cooling, brand names such as Thermalright, Swiftech, Arctic-Cooling, Cooler Master and Thermaltake come to mind among a long list of others. However absent from that list is GlacialTech and I am not quite sure why that is really. Probably the most likely reason for this is that we have not reviewed, tested or even seen a GlacialTech product in over 6 years. Well today that is about to change, as we introduce the new Igloo 5610 series designed for the Intel LGA775 platform.

First let's put the GlacialTech Igloo 5610 series into perspective; they are extremely quiet, light weight and ultra affordable. While the cooling performance was not significantly better than the standard Intel cooling, at times we did see a 10 degree drop in temperatures without having to increase the operating volume. So while these new Igloo 5610 series coolers are hardly record breakers, they do offer a good level of performance with a near silent operating volume and best of all at just $20 US there are few heatsink and fan combos of this quality that offer such value.
