LG HT762TZ Home Cinema System Review

Normally we'd be suspicious of a product where the main focus is on looks, but in this case there's plenty of substance behind the style. Its picture and sound quality are very impressive and there are enough features on board to make the price tag seem thoroughly justified. But the last word should definitely go to the design - LG has created a beautifully elegant system that looks unlike anything we've ever seen - in other words, the sort of kit that will have you bubbling with excitement.

I own this system by two weeks now, and I am impressed with the XTS-pro which produces very satisfying sound.

The subwoofer is muddy though, I ended up replaced it with one of mine, and the combined result is awsome.

Two flaws discovered so far -

1. It does not play DivX subtitle well. In many occasion, does not play at all, even though it claims to be DivX certified.

2. It skips Audio CDs quite often. It could be due to the CD was not perfectly structured (eg I was using CD-R, and some other discs may have slight scraches), but the stability (fault tolerance) for CD audio is definitely under average.

In general, I am happy with the sound, and the look. But annoyed by the flaws which even my other non-brand DVD player can do a better job.
