Samsung SyncMaster XL30 LED Backlit LCD Review
Posted on 2008-08-18 20:33:50 by Thomas De MaesschalckUltimately, however, it's those professionals – graphic artists, publishers and the like – that stand to get most out of this wonderfully colour-accurate monitor. If sufficient budget is available, we doubt the XL30 will disappoint for those users. For everyone else, we recommend you plump for a more conventional and affordable 30-incher and if you want to spend a little bit more, it's still well-worth considering the NEC LCD3090WQXi.

At 2.5-3k this would be a worthwhile monitor, enticing some users to move upscale. However it lacks displayport for 10bit color @ 2560, so all that fancy color "capability" is mostly on paper rather than in front of your eyes. It costs too much for what it does, and doesn't have the connections to even appeal to those who might "need" it. So it doesn't attract upscale users nor heavily attract high end users. Sorry Samsung, try again. |
