Corsair's got some new memory out, and its performance rating is apt to raise some eyebrows in the performance memory world. What is it, you ask? DDR400? Yawn... DDR433? Ho hum... DDR500? Beep...thanks for playing...In fact, it's nothing less than DDR550. That's right - Corsair's newest memory is their XMS4400 series, and is rated to run at DDR550, or 275Mhz. As Corsair puts it, the product line is so fast that "The challenge was finding test machines that could keep up." Today, we're going to take a look at the flagship of the XMS4400, Corsair's TwinX 1024 XMS4400 Platinum, a full gigabyte of Corsair's best.
