Nero 9 is an extremely competent suite for burning CDs and DVDs, even more so than the similarly-priced Roxio Creator 2009 Media Suite. Nero 9 isn’t as pretty or as easy to use as Roxio Creator 2009 Media Suite, but it is faster and has better audio tools. Sadly, the latest version isn’t a massive improvement over Nero 8 so there isn’t a compelling reason to upgrade. But our biggest criticism is that the software takes almost a week to install - if it doesn’t crash your machine a million times beforehand - and you’ll probably not even use a fraction of its tools. All things considered, it still remains the best burning suite on the market.
