Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway Review

What really sets Hell’s Highway apart is its authenticity. Gearbox even used actual reconnaissance photographs of the battle to design the game’s levels. This means that you as a player will actually use a lot of the same tactics to attack the enemy that the paratroopers used, which means you can stay startlingly close to the actual experience and still have a good time in the end. For our most hardcore fans, that creates a fun game of ‘How would you have handled the same problem?’ On the downside, Hell’s Highway represents little more than a solid evolution of the original, as opposed to taking the series to dizzy new heights. Fans of the first two games in the series or tactical shooters in general will enjoy Hell’s Highway greatly, but the average gamer who loves nothing more than reckless destruction will find it boring (death toll not high enough) and repetitive (commanding squads can be a chore). If you’re not tired of fighting Germans and fancy another round of realism, Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway is definitely worth playing.
