Star Ocean Second Evolution is a long game and unlike many other RPGs that once played once loose their replay value, in Star Ocean Second Evolution you can actually play as two different characters (Claude or Rena) and depending on who you chose to play as the story is slightly changed.

The battle system works well but what makes Star Ocean such a compelling title is the mix between the storyline and the voice acting. After a few hours of gameplay you start to really know some of the characters and the game makes you want to find out more and more. The game does start out a bit slow, but if given the chance, once you actually start venturing towards the Sorcery Globe the action really picks up. This is a fun RPG as long as you accept the game's graphics.
