"nu" Technology Inc.The makers of the worlds first 8X DVD+RW. Since the introduction of the DVD ( Digital Video Disc) for the home user, The popularity has grown tremendously with it's outstanding picture quality. History in a sense has repeated itself, Most of us have come to know and gotten used to the VCR and It's ability to record blank tapes. In the computer world that is no different, with CD-RW's and their now low cost most all newer systems come with a CD-RW. However they are limited to the amount of data they will hold. (700mbs) on average. A blank DVD's on the other hand will hold roughly 4.7g of data that's near 6 times the amount of data on one disc.( 4.37gigs according to your PC, I'll explain later) Soon came the DVD-ROM for the home computer giving the ability to simply inserting you favorite DVD into the DVD Drive and watching it right on your computer. Speed of writing these DVD's is a huge factor, we all want to get things done quicker. like the CD-RW's they to showed an increase in writing speeds with every new model, that is the same with DVD+RW's.
