The Nikon D5000 is Nikon’s new mid-range consumer DSLR. It's not an entry level model, but it's cheaper and less complex than the D90. It's light, compact and has all the latest DSLR features, including live view on an articulated monitor, HD video recording and dynamic range compensation.
