Sapphire Radeon 9800 XT Ultimate edition Review
Posted on 2004-01-14 18:23:11 by LSDsmurfWhile Sapphire's 9800 XT Ultimate shows no real speed difference from ATI's Radeon 9800 XT, it does feature a great bundle and a very unique method of cooling for reducing noise. Their cooling solution definitely works and while the Zalman fan is not needed to run it eliminates any build up of heat around the card and is very quiet overall. With that in mind though, this is a large card but this shouldn't be a problem for the high-end market that is it targeted towards and should fit easily within most cases but will take up two PCI slots. Of course, typically one wouldn't want to use the PCI slot next to the video card that using a typical HSF for cooling to provide for better airflow as well so this point is mute for most.
