The ASUS Crosshair IV Formula is an interesting first look at an AMD 890FX+SB850motherboard combination. In terms of features all of the bullet points are here including USB 3.0, SATA 3.0, the various overclocking utilities and tools ASUS brings to the table and a robust bundle that complements the features of the board. In terms of performance the Crosshair IV Formula is faster than the 890GX boards I’ve seen. In terms of overclocking the board was able to overclock the Phenom II X4 810 to 955 level speeds easily and a little beyond that in fact. Looking at the board as a whole I have to give it an Editor’s Choice for doing the job well.
