The weight alone, or that combined with the fear of possibly voiding a warranty, may scare many people away from such a beefy HSF. However, there is a very good reason this CPU cooler weighs so much - its large chunk of copper coupled with the 92 millimeter fan are meant to keep a CPU very cool with minimal noise.
