Refreshes can come with improved steppings and silicon, making chips of the same speed run cooler and allowing for higher overclocks, something we all can appreciate. AMD hasn't had a part refresh since Thuban reared its head nearly 5 months ago. The last few product releases, for folks who run at stock, have simply been very modest clock increases, but for overclockers, the introductions of Thuban and the C3 stepping have been godsends for AMD overclockers.
