Dell Streak: Both Tablet and Phone Review

In the flash flood of new tablet models, Dell tried to make something completely different, and launched a device that, at first glance or otherwise, simply can’t be pigeonholed into either tablet or Android-smartphone category. The gadget (in the lack of a better word) which we have been testing is very elegant, high-quality and firm, and with a rather small tablet-wise, or a rather big smartphone-wise, 5” display. Why tablet? The basic orientation that Streak is used in is landscape, which makes it look like a tablet (even a navigational device), plus it has all of the functions usually associated with tablet PCs…

Summary: This isn’t a device to go on strolls with, except when taking a handsfree device along as well; business applications aren’t particularly well-groomed here, so business users are out of the picture as well; its greatest advantage - a large display - and all those applications which did get that extra touch all revolve around multimedia.
