Galaxy 6600 GT Review

Once upon a time the single most expensive item in your PC bundle was the monitor, how times change! Now its not unusual to pay £350-400 for a top of the range graphics card which produce over 100 frames per second in any game you care to mention. Now £350-400 ($600-$800) is an awful lot for a graphics card and lesser versions have come out with cut back features to bring them to the £250 mark but that's where it ends. The next card down is the 9800XT which just doesn't have things like Shader 3.0 support and just can't cope with AA and AF at decent resolutions in the current generation of games. In short there has been no true mid range graphics card for over a year and even before that, the 9600 Pro arrived a poor card and remained so.
