We are testing the AMD Athlon II X4 645 CPU against the AMD Athlon II X2 240 CPU to find out if raw speed is a match for cheapness? The AMD Athlon II X4 645 is clocked at 3100Mhz while the AMD Athlon II X2 240 is clocked at 2800Mhz which is 10% slower. Another advantage the AMD Athlon II X4 645 has is it's Quadcore while the AMD Athlon II X2 240 is only using Dualcore. The AMD Athlon II X4 645 type Propus is a Socket AM3 Processor operating at 3100Mhz, has a Front Side Bus speed of 400Mhz and 4x512K L2 Cache. The AMD Athlon II X4 645 supports MMX+, 3DNow+, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4A, x86-64 and AMD-V. It's going to be an interesting fight between the two Processors being benchmarked with Games and Synthetic Benchmarks.
