The concept of viewing content from the internet on your TV is not a new idea. HTPCs (Home Theater PCs) have been around since 1993, but have had limited success due to their cost and complexity to operate. In May of 2010 Google announced their internet-connected television platform, known as Google TV. Billed as "Television, meet search engine" the Google TV platform promises a lot - easy to use internet from your couch. Does it manage to live up to these lofty dreams?
