As the name suggests, the HPL 815 Low Profile is a low-profile CPU cooler from Evercool. The HSF is designed for slim HTPC cases and is just 45mm in height. RB Mods took a closer look and concludes the HPL-815 does a decent job at keeping CPU temperatures in check, while keeping the noise levels at a minimum. Compared to Intel's stock cooler, the new Evercool HTPC cooler keeps the processor up to 7.5°C cooler under load and 10°C on the overclocked load.

"Not so long ago, in September 2009 we had a chance to test the Evercool HPK-10025EA mainstream cooler. Today we are going to take a look at the Evercool HPL-815 CPU cooler from the same lightweight category. It is the 45mm low height cooler made for various slim HTPC cases. This case should suit the needs of the people out there that need specialty coolers. We will take a look at this Evercool HPL-815, sitting on top of an Intel socket 1156 i3-540 processor at default and over clocked speeds."
