NVIDIA CUDA 4.0 Tech Report Review

It's short for Compute Unified Device Architecture, a proprietary parallel computing architecture developed by NVIDIA. It allows NVIDIA graphics cards to be used as general purpose processors - game physics being the key application for most of us.
First released in February 2007, it has since matured to Release 3.2, and will soon be available as Release 4.0. Let's take a look at what's new in CUDA Release 4.0.
