Thermaltake eSPORTS Shock One Gaming Headset Review

Posted on Wednesday, April 06 2011 @ 12:48:54 CEST by

EverythingUSB checked out this new gaming headset from ThermalTake's eSPORTS brand.

When you mention the name Thermaltake, usually people would relate that name to their computer chassis and power supplies. As they foray into the already super competitive market of gaming accessories with their eSports line of peripherals, I look forward to seeing what they can offer. Focusing on their flagship headset, the Tt eSPORTS Shock One gaming headset, we will see if its DTS 5.1-channel certification will separate it from the rest of the herd. Read on to find out!

The Verdict:
The Thermaltake eSPORTS Shock One headset features good all round sound and good directionality with its DTS Surround Sensation. While it might not have the best comfort or sound out of the box (until you swap it for the included velour pads), it has definitely become a real joy to use after a week of use. Using its potent set of 40mm drivers, the Shock One is definitely a contender in the sub $100 market, and has impressed me thus far. Definitely recommended for anyone who is looking for a good looking headset with great sounds.
