If you were to ask me what my favorite thing to do at TweakTown is, I'd quickly say traveling the world and seeing different cultures. Then I would quickly tell you that a close second is pushing the boundaries of performance to new levels. Today we are going to not just push, but actually shove performance into a new dimension formally reserved for those spending obscene sums of money on storage products.

Currently sitting at the top of the storage subsystem throne is the SandForce SF-2281 controller when paired with Toshiba Toggle flash. Patriot, the innovative, awesome, totally groovy company that they are, decided to send us two of their Wildfire solid state drives using this magical combination that allow us to achieve blissful RAID 0 speeds on an inexpensive native SATA III motherboard. So how blissful you ask? How does over 1000MB/s sound?
