With the BL series, however, BenQ has ramped up the Eco-features a notch, focusing it on the business side of things and the increasing problem of exploding electricity costs. For one, the display features something called an Eco Sensor which automatically switches itself to ‘Eco mode’ when a user steps away from the screen. It would switch back to the standard mode once it detects presence. This, the company says, will save “considerable” amount of energy and money, resulting in lower monthly electricity bills. And if that wasn’t enough to tickle our giddy bone, the monitor uses 100% recyclable materials, with at least 65% of the monitor’s frame made of recycled plastics.
