Cooler Master is launching a new power supply, the Silent Pro Hybrid. It's a variation of their previous Silent Pro series lineup, continuing to features 80PLUS Gold efficiency, modular design, and a sleek aesthetic. But the Hybrid changes things, bringing an innovative new feature, as it runs in a fanless mode when under light loads. Operating silently until the need for more power and higher temperatures kick the fan into gear, there's also a front panel fan controller included as well as part of the package, allowing users to control the unit's fan directly, as well as a few case fans tossed in for good measure. Good looks and nice features will only get you so far though, as performance is what matters in the end. Coming with a price tag of $249, the Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid looks to offer great performance for the price. Let's find out if that is indeed the case or not.
