Originally, Pocket PCs using Microsoft’s version of windows for these devices used 240x320 pixel screens on a 3.5" LCD. At the time, "quarter VGA" or QVGA screens looked fantastic, but that was 5 years ago. Since then, there has been a big move in laptops to providing better resolution, and now that has filtered down to their smaller siblings. As a result, many new devices possess full VGA resolution of 480x640, the same as some of the first CRT monitors I owned. Today we will look at one of these new style PDAs. the Toshiba e830.
