With the launch of their flagship cards, the HD 7970 and 7750, AMD is now running for the budget market with their new HD 7700 series. Today I’ll be looking at the ASUS HD 7750 targeted squarely at the sub-$150 segment. The new HD 7700 series cards is built on the same new 28nm Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture as the HD 7900 series, so less power consumption and better cooling are a forgone conclusion here. And while it still supports the major industry standards of the HD 7900 series like DX 11.1, Eyefinity 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 support, the HD 7700 series is severely limited in raw power.
