The NV Silencer 3 is comprised of three components that work collectively to cool a GPU. The entire unit is encased by a clear translucent plastic housing that surrounds an aluminum/copper heatsink and cooling fan. The cooling fan resides towards the front of the unit and is positioned as an intake fan to draw cool air from the case interior and blow it over the high quality aluminum heatsink. The base of the unit consist of a 2.5mm thick Copper heatsink plate and a 1.9mm backing plate which is supported by four mounting screws.
