The Sony Xperia Go is designed to replace the Xperia Active as Sony's rugged, outdoorsy smartphone. Aimed at the more niche sporty, active market, the Xperia Go ventures slightly off from the rest Sony's range, such as the Xperia S, Xperia U and Xperia Tipo.
