Corsair's Obsidian 550D has pretty much all the traits of its successful predecessors, but is also carefully engineered for noise reduction and sound isolation thanks to the use sound dampening pads on the sides and front panel of the chassis to actively absorb the noise being produced by the internal fans. Hit our review to see how much of difference they will make, and if there are any resulting side effects elsewhere.

Not all its features are completely over the over the top, and it doesn’t have a military inspired exterior. Instead, the 550D has a sleek cosmetic design that fits nicely into the Obsidian series, as well as acoustic dampening qualities which are superior to most cases on the market.
