Philips has produced the first flicker-free active shutter 3D telly, but it comes at a price we're not convinced we want to pay. Although the brand flirts with passive 3D tech lower down its ranges, its new flagship TV, the 46-inch 46PFL9707, use active shutter 3D glasses but adds a choice between Flicker Free and Maximum Clarity.
