hUMA; AMD’s Heterogeneous Unified Memory Architecture Review

The new Heterogeneous Unified Memory Architecture (or hUMA) is part of AMD's HSA feature set and will make its way into the Kaveri APUs. It is supposed to provide a unified memory address space for both the CPU and GPU, potentially increasing throughput by leveraging both processors in parallel.
