NVIDIA tweaks and repackages the GK104 GPU previously seen in the GeForce GTX 600 series cards for their new GTX 760 on the test bench today. Its implementation in the GTX 760 is slightly trimmer with 1152 CUDA cores, but the new card does feature an updated GPU Boost 2.0 and Adaptive Tempurature controller. With a 980MHz base core clock (1033MHz boost) and 2GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 1502MHz (6008MHz effective) on a 256-bit memory interface, the GTX 760 was designed to replace the GTX 660 Ti and should challenge AMD's Radeon HD 7950. Designed to offer best-in-class at 1080p when it comes to gaming, NVIDIA's GTX 760 offers blistering performance. Of course the GTX 760 should still have plenty of power to handle the higher resolution of 5760x1080 with in-game settings at high or very high, something I look forward to testing when it comes time to benchmark NVIDIA's latest offering.
