Sony’s DCR-DVD7 is a good illustration of a major them in Sony’s new camcorder campaign: it’s both innovative in size, scale, and looks, but it doesn’t offer much more as far as features and imaging quality go. This is not to say that some of Sony’s new camcorder line features innovative features and better imaging specifications from last year. But, by and large, the real overhaul this year has taken place in the cosmetic department.
